Labor Day occurs on the first Monday of September. This is an annual celebration that honors America's hard work. No one knows for sure who held the very first Labor Day, but some say it was a man by the name of Peter J. McGuire, co founder of the American Federation of Labor. In 1884, the first Monday in September was selected for the holiday. In 1887, four more states had created the holiday by legislative enactment. America has gone through too much, it is only necessary to honor the American workers for all their hard work through history, all hail America!!!
